Common questions about this wait

Why is my app still in review after 7 days?

Seven days is not a guaranteed limit. Confirm that changes are actually in review, check messages in Play Console, and note your last submission date. The Help page in your Play Console account is the official place to request assistance.

Does submitting another change restart the review clock?

Google counts turnaround from the latest submitted change. Adding changes during review can move the app to the back of the queue. Resubmission is not a shortcut for an otherwise unchanged, pending review.

My changes are ready to publish. Why is the update not live?

With managed publishing, approved changes wait for you to publish them. Check that no changes remain in review before publishing. Managed publishing is for an already available app, not its first publication.

Are changes not yet sent for review already in the queue?

No. Preparing or uploading changes is not the same as sending them for review. Check Publishing overview and use its submission control when your changes are ready.

What can change the wait

  • Review requirements vary. The upper end of the range is not a guaranteed deadline.
  • Approval and publication are separate events when managed publishing holds reviewed changes for release.

Where to check your situation

Check Publishing overview. Distinguish changes under review from changes ready to publish before treating the wait as a review delay.
